An Infinite Play – Mari-Ruth Oda (2023)

Carved from marble, An Infinite Play embodies the fluidity of time and transformation. Inspired by the way water shapes stone, the sculpture reflects an eternal cycle of movement and energy. Its infinity form represents the interplay between our inner and outer worlds—an ever-evolving flow that reminds us of the power within to shape our own experiences.

    An Infinite Play Marble, 2023

    “The infinity shape represents the movement that we experience between our outer and inner lives, reminding us that power to affect this movement is always within us, constantly at play.”

    流水涤荡岩石，形成透空，流畅线条，塑造时间的形态。

    璞玉浑金，终存美质良材。

    无限循环，传递不息能量。

    水石相谐，映照禅意安宁。

    玺印端凝，鉴证完美收官。

    Flowing water washes away rock, leaving space and smoothing lines, forming the shape of time.

    An unprocessed jade, a rough diamond,

    Infinite circulation, transmission of endless energy.

    Water and stone harmonizing, reflecting divine peace.
